I see the
merit in Dick Morris’ reasoning, but there are other less macro reasons for a
real relationship between the UN and Russia.
There are
other issues that I think Trump and Putin agree on. I believe that they both
regard global warming as a hoax and are opposed to UN Agenda 21 and all
destructive UN nonsense like multiculturalism, open borders and global
governance. I believe they are both nationalists who would applaud the end of
the EU. Both may join effectively to
defeat ISIS in Syria soon.
It’s
Putin’s turn to take leadership in articulating his opinion of the UN, the EU,
globalism, terrorism, trade and the rest.
I’ve
written before that both are Christian countries and Russia is historically a
European country and shared our Western Civilization culture. I’ve alluded to
the vast differences in their fortunes and the US advantage of escaping the
British Monarchy and escaping the ravages of two world wars on US soil.
I believe
Trump had no problem with Russia’s annexation of Crimea, because of their 80%
vote. I think Putin can live with the rule of letting the voters decide. I also think Russia needs a more robust
private economy and I think Trump could help. I can see how these strong,
nationalist leaders would have things in common. I can see what a breath of fresh air Trump
would be for Putin after putting up with 8 years of delusional UN bull-shit
from Obama and previous US administrations.
I say all
of this as a rabid anti-communist, anti-socialist, very small government, very
large private sector, free market fan of Austrian economics.
