Immigration Policy

The US Immigration Act of 1986 needs to be repealed. We need to change our immigration laws to end the Visa Lottery, Chain Migration and Anchor Baby rule. Children of immigrants will have the same citizenship as their parents. Drivers’ Licenses for non-citizens will be identified as “non-citizen” to prevent voter fraud. Public schools would only admit English speaking students. Immigrant students would need to attend private schools until they pass an English test.

Immigration to the US should be based on merit and need and triggered by US employers, who should be required to request permission to hire and comply with requirements. Employers would pay the cost for this sponsorship.

We would retain certain Visas including H1b for professionals, H2b for Technicians, H2a for seasonal agricultural workers, F Student Visas, L Corporate Visas for key employees and J Visitors Visas.

Employers would all join E-Verify to avoid hiring illegal immigrants and report identity fraud.

Immigrants who are selected for employment in the US would be classified as Temporary or Path to Citizenship and work 5 years before becoming US citizens.

Current illegal immigrants would be eligible to have their employer apply for legal immigration based on merit. Employers would pay the cost for this sponsorship.

All US government funding of non-profits engaged in refugee and immigrant welfare would end. Government funded welfare for non-citizens would end.

The US government would fund the border wall and visa control system to deport visa overstays at immigrant expense.
