The Court System was adopted to offer a way to peacefully resolve disputes. Many cases are settled without excessive legal expenses. The average cost is $10.000. Excessive settlements like the Tobacco Settlement are a deterrent to corporations to avoid exposure. If we ever discover the cause of cancer, we will know if this was a scam or not.
