GOP Candidate Debates

The questions on the first debates on 8/6/15 did not include government debt or sovereign bankruptcy or the coming Federal Reserve engineered stock market bubble crash, because the media, including Fox, doesn’t want to yell “FIRE” in our crowded theater.

The second issue that was avoided was the TPP that would jettison US sovereignty and that Paul and Cruz voted against.

The third big issue that was not addresses is UN Agenda 21 and the global warming hoax.

Most voters don’t want to think about it. Your average voter seems satisfied to suffer silently or remain oblivious to these issues.

The first debate at 5:30pm included the candidates Fox ranked 11 through 17: Perry TX, Santorum, Jindal LA, Gilmore VA, Fiorina, Pataki NY, Graham SC,

They did well. The issues included candidate resumes, tax rate decreases, re-imposing welfare time limits and work requirements, gays, abortion, Iran, ISIS, US presence in Iraq and Afghanistan and caving by Congress.

The second debate at 8:50pm included the candidates Fox ranked 1 through 10: Trump, Cruz, Paul, Carson, Walker, Kasich, Rubio, Huckabee, Bush, Christie.

They also did well.  The issues included candidate resumes, fair tax, abortion, Iran and ISIS.

Trump is the most likely candidate to continue to address the big issues.  And like Immigration, he will bring voters alive.

Trump on Hannity said the big problem is sovereign debt. It needs to be straightened out and he can do that. Trump rightly says we also need to bring jobs back to rebuild the economy.

Rand Paul said we cannot project strength from bankruptcy court. He will do well when the conversation changes to sovereign debt and the bubbles. He and Ted Cruz voted against the TPP fast-track.

Rand Paul said get a warrant from a judge. Chris Christie said we need citizen phone records to discover who terrorists are calling.  If they get a match, then they call a judge and get a warrant to search. If I were a terrorist, I would robo-call the entire US phonebook. I would do this to send SWAT teams to innocent US citizens’ homes with warrants.  This problem isn’t solved yet, but Rand Paul will make sure we think this through. Chris Christie showed he is prone to the “ready, fire, aim” syndrome.

Mike Huckabee made the case for the unborn under the 5th and 14th amendments.

The voters whose reactions were monitored were typical. Their reactions were shallow and based on who they liked. They dropped Trump because he was not a “loyal Republican”. They didn’t like it when Trump said he was not ready to pledge not to run as an independent. The monitored voters who didn’t like Trump’s refusal to pledge missed that he was smart to keep his leverage. Trump is in the race to make sure Republicans cover all the tough issues.

Megyn Kelly’s question to Trump about attracting women voters was a wasted lowball question. She could have asked Trump what federal programs he would cut.
