After laying low for several months,
former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton came back with a bang this week when in
an interview she refused to take the blame for her election lose, and instead
claimed that she could have won if the election had been a few weeks earlier.
Clinton blamed FBI Director James Comey, sexism, the media, Russia and
Wikileaks for her defeat in November 2016.
Her refusal to face reality flies in
sharp contrast to what then-President George H.W. Bush did when he lost to
Democrat nominee Bill Clinton in 1992, Independent Journal Review reported.
Rather than blame everyone except
himself, Bush chose to write Clinton a letter before
he left the Oval Office for the last time, congratulating him on his win and
wishing him nothing but success in the years to come.
“I wish you great happiness here. I never felt
the loneliness some presidents have described,” Bush wrote. “There will be very
tough times, made even more difficult by criticism you may not think is fair.
I’m not a very good one to give advice; but just don’t let the critics
discourage you or push you off course,” the letter read.
That’s what true class looks like. Bush
wasn’t petty or jealous. He accepted what had happened, and he chose to put
aside any personal animosity in order to ensure a peaceful transfer of power.
“You will be our president when you read
this note. I wish you well. I wish your family well. Your success now is
our country’s success. I am rooting hard for you,” he wrote.
While Clinton did initially accept her
defeat (she even showed up at the inauguration), her comments this week indicate that she isn’t planning
to just sit around quietly anymore.
Remember all the hype when Trump
suggested that he might not accept the results of the election if he thought it
was rigged? Well, now Clinton is doing exactly that, yet the liberal media
isn’t saying very much about it.
If Clinton wants to comment on politics,
that is her right. However, she needs to accept that Trump won the election
fair and square, and that she, and she alone, is responsible for her defeat.

Bush was a Liberal Republican and Bill Clinton was a Liberal Democrat. Both
signed awful Bills, Agreements and Executive Orders. Hillary Clinton is a Radical Socialist
campaigning for a much larger government footprint. But after a decade of stagnation and decline,
the pendulum swung to the Conservative side with the Trump win.
