The Statist Club

When I watch Congress on TV, questioning federal agencies, I see most members of Congress being too chummy and clubby with their agency counterparts.  I realize that questioning the agencies critically does isolate the Congress member.

What our elected representatives don’t understand is that when they function as cheerleaders for their infallible government, they destroy their credibility with Trump voters.

The Democrats have made a career out of pandering to their imaginary base and have developed a Marxist cult of Dem-bots, who will defend every unconstitutional, dangerous and illogical action their Marxist representatives take.

The Statist club is a trap for group-think and hubris. They strut and insist that everything they do is very serious and very important and we should not question their genius.  It’s like a delusional faculty of demented, self-important college professors.

Elected officials need to fess up that government has made colossal mistakes and need to get a grip on our real existential threats and do everything they can to reverse our financial and Constitutional demise.

Elected officials need to take the truth serum and tell the truth instead of pretending that everything is fine. They need to recognize that the game is up and it’s time to get real.
