Power Grid Problems

The power grid is creaking. Power companies need to stop blowing our money on solar and wind and stick to their knitting by maintaining substations and replacing worn-out mechanical equipment. Carbon dioxide emissions are irrelevant. Trump has the EPA on hold.

Power outages occurred in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco occurred over the weekend approaching 5/1/17. It isn’t a cyber-attack. Obama jerked power companies around and they got behind on maintenance of their distribution systems.

It looks like we can fix up and continue to operate our coal and hydro-electric plants.  We may be able to add nuclear if we can get the regulations untangled.  We certainly can run natural gas.  Wind and solar are too expensive and unreliable in most areas.
