ARC Needs to Go

The AJC article, Audit questions ARC’s spending, 1/25/18, page A1 reports wasteful spending by the Atlanta Regional Commission.

Regional Commissions were created in Georgia in 2008 and again in 2010 with legislation that needs to be repealed. It set up groups of appointed, unelected representatives to exert unconstitutional control over county tax funds. This was part of UN Agenda 21 implementation in the US and needs to be repealed.  County residents didn’t want their tax dollars going to other counties. City and County residents wanted to control their own transportation dollars to make sure they weren’t being double-charged for road work. When the Regional Commissions arose in 2012 with a state-wide $18 billion sales tax increase ballot issue, we killed it.

ARC is in bed with GDOT, another incompetent organization.  They funnel projects to cronies who charge double and do a poor job. ARC is a front group for MARTA, another failed enterprise.  The ringmaster for this circus is the Georgia Municipal Association, created to overpay government employees. The ARC Board is made up of corrupt political hacks and lobbyists with serious conflicts of interest.  The beneficiaries are the developers, speculators, consultants and crony contractors who overcharge us for road maintenance and construction. The Georgia legislature functions as the enablers of this scam.

This mess was designed by the Obama administration to ruin the US economy. Our elected officials were the functionaries who perpetrated this hoax. I’ve attended several ARC meeting.  This is an “insider” political organization with a world-view that defies the laws of economics and common sense.

Having this government is like being married to a drug addicted cocktail waitress who sleeps around.
