South
African Government Begins Seizing Land Owned by White Citizens.
One of the most overlooked human rights
violations in the world today is taking place in South Africa. Yet the
atrocities of the South African government have received almost no attention in
Western media. In fact, the biggest recent headline regarding South Africa
wasn’t their gradual genocide of white citizens, but rather the fact that
former President Barrack Obama visited the country and praised its government
for being “progressive”.
This “progressive” government as Obama
calls it, is one that has enacted a plan to seize 139 farms owned by white
South Africans and redistribute them to black South African citizens as a form
of restitution. South Africa has justified this “restitution” by pointing to
the institutionalized racial segregation that took place in South Africa from
1948 to 1990 while the country was under white minority rule.
Two of the first white South African
citizens to fall victim to this plan where two farmers located in South
Africa’s northern region of Limpopo. At first, the South African government
approached the farmers with an offer to purchase their land and asked the farmers
to quote their price. After the farmers quoted a fair-market price of $18
million for their land, though, the South African government countered with an
offer a $1.8 million – just one-tenth of what the land was worth. When the
farmers refused this offer, the government evicted them from their land and
seized it from them.
This seizure of land follows an
announcement by the South African government that they plan to introduce a
constitutional change that will allow them to seize the land of white South
African citizens without any offer to purchase the land, any eviction notice,
or any court hearings. Since this announcement was made, white South African
landowners have been racing to sell their land and leave the country before the
new policy goes into practice.
These landowners are largely relocating
to nearby Australia, leading the Australian media to become one of the only
major media outlets to report on the atrocity.
So why is it that mainstream media
outlets in the United States and elsewhere refuse to cover these horrifying
instances of government overreach and human rights violations?
As with most things the media refuses to
report, the situation in South Africa has received minimal coverage due to the
fact that it does not fit the media’s leftist narrative. In the leftist
worldview, white citizens are always the oppressors and never the oppressed.
Institutional racism against white citizens is seen as an impossible concept, and
the idea that a black majority government could use their power to oppress a
minority of white citizens in the same way that white majority governments have
oppressed black minority citizens throughout the past is simply not feasible.
What’s taking place in South Africa, of
course, completely derails the idea that institutional racism is a concept that
can only be executed by white people. The South African government is in no way
a “progressive” government as Obama described it when he was heaping praise on
the very leaders who are conducting a gradual, step by step genocide of their
minority citizens. Rather, it is a government that is every bit as regressive
as the government that oversaw slavery and segregation in the United States.
To make matters even more sickening, the
atrocities in South Africa are all being done in the name of a very leftist
ideology. The belief that white South African citizens bear responsibility for
the misdeeds of their ancestors and must give up their rights as punishment for
those misdeeds bears a striking resemblance to leftist thought on racism and
restitution in the United States. Perhaps this is yet another reason why the
mainstream media refuses to cover the atrocities of the South African
government – they represent how horribly things can go wrong when far-left
ideas on race are taken to their natural conclusion.
One way or another, it is a terribly sad
situation for white South Africans who are forced to give up their lands and
flee their homes in the name of restitution. Unfortunately, so long as Western
powers continue to let the South African government get away with these
actions, the atrocities they commit against their white citizens will only grow
more extreme.~ American Liberty Report
