Citizens need to be
more skeptical of government. Taxpayers have a responsibility to question
government costs and outcomes. Letting government blow big money on scams and
political causes is suicidal.
The US has several
problems that lead to financial over-commitment. These activities require cost reduction and
cuts in regulations. Government
subsidies need to be planned over 10 years to reduce by 10% per year to give
these industries a chance to make necessary reforms.
The cost of education
is excessive due to government subsidies over the decades and bureaucratic
bloat. Public Schools and Colleges are overpriced and underperforming.
The cost of healthcare
is excessive due to government subsidies since 1965 and bureaucratic bloat. Healthcare is overpriced and underperforming.
The cost of government
is $6 trillion a year approaching 30% of GDP.
This needs to be cut in half.
Debt is too high. Government Debt is $30 trillion and unfunded
liabilities are $124 trillion. Consumer debt is $13 trillion. Corporate debt is
$6 trillion. This needs to be cut in half.
