The US Labor Force
Participation Rate was reported at 66.2% in January 2008. By December 2016, it
had declined to 62.7%. It is still at 62.7%. but the US population grew by 25.5
million from 2008 to 2016 and job growth didn’t keep up with the population
increase, mostly immigrants.
The US population in
2008 was 303 million and in 2018 is 328.5 million. We have absorbed the 4
million new grads in 2017 and 2018.
US Private Sector Jobs
declined from 116 million in January 2008 to 107 million by 2010. It is
reported at 127 million in 2018. Most of the jobs added from 2008 to 2016 were
minimum wage jobs filled by refugees and immigrants.
US Household Income
average rose to $62.450 in July 2018
Since January 2017,
excessive immigration has been reduced and the practice of off-shoring jobs has
ended. We will know that the job of restoring the US middle class is being
accomplished when we see the US Labor Force Participation Rate return to 66.2%
as it was in January 2008.
This requires ending
excessive immigration and restoring manufacturing jobs in the US.
