Nobody Knows Economics

Why don’t young voters know the laws of economics ?   I believe it’s because they don’t get to learn it anywhere.  The colleges are riddled with dishonest Leftist Professors who would never suggest that excessive government spending was unwise.  They certainly don’t see Congress worried about how they are going to pay off our $19 trillion debt or the $100+ trillion in unfunded liabilities.  The news media seems to equate a healthy economy with high consumer spending.  Their families have provided for them all these years.  So, why shouldn’t they get all the free stuff they want from the government ? 

It’s been relatively easy for Leftists to blame greedy Capitalists except for times when the symptoms of a poorly run economy got bad enough to hurt, like the inflation of the 1970s.  And that bit of inflation could be blamed on the 10 year long Vietnam War with little mention of Lyndon Johnson’s “war on poverty” with the creation of Civil Rights, Predatory Law Suits, Junk Science, Excessive Environmentalism, Political Correctness, Medicare, Medicaid, Welfare, excessive foreign aid and the beginnings of Excessive Immigration.  

The deck is stacked against our young voters and they are likely to vote for Bernie Sanders and he would make things worse.  Unlike their parents, the vast majority of our young voters will not have careers or business opportunities that will give them the income to get married, buy a house, have some kids, save for retirement and be self-supporting.  Their future has been squandered by Leftist propaganda and suicidal government actions, policies and spending.  

Our young voters fail to observe the fact that government subsidies have made healthcare and education too expensive for the little value they provide.  They don’t know that third party payment schemes drive up the price of whatever is covered by these schemes.  They don’t understand that the purpose of the free market is to establish the prices of things.

Our young voters don’t know the extent to which federal bribes in the form of grants to states and grants to non-profits have resulted in systemic corruption. They have failed to notice that government has screwed up every unconstitutional activity they have assumed. They don’t know that the federal government should not be involved in bribery, extortion, healthcare, education, energy, labor housing, commerce, land holding, welfare, foreign aid and all other activities not permitted by its enumerated powers outlined in the US Constitution.
