Trump Gaining in Poll

'Most accurate' poll: Trump leads Hillary by 1, wildly different results in establishment media surveys, by Bob Unruh, 10/19/16, WND

The IBDC-TIPP Presidential Election Tracking Poll, described as the “most accurate poll in recent presidential elections,” on Wednesday had Donald Trump leading Hillary Clinton by one point, 41 percent to 40 percent.

But a variety of other polls showed wildly disparate results, including one from the left-leaning Bloomberg that indicated Clinton was ahead by nine points.

The survey by Investor’s Business Daily and TechnoMetric Market Intelligence had Trump at 41.3 percent to Clinton’s 40 percent nationally and leading across the Midwest and South.

It also found 67 percent of Trump supporters are “strong” in their support, while Clinton has that level from only 58 percent.

The survey questioned 788 likely voters, with a margin of error of 3.3 percentage points.

The USC Dornsife/Los Angeles Times “Daybreak” poll put the candidates even closer, with 44.1 percent for Trump and 43.9 percent for Clinton.

It tracks some 3,000 eligible voters until election day, asking on a regular basis about their support for Clinton, Trump or other candidates as well as their likelihood of actually casting a ballot.

At Rasmussen, the raced was described with two words,
“Dead even.” “Today’s Rasmussen Reports White House Watch telephone and online survey shows Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump each picking up 42 percent support among Likely U.S. Voters.

Seven percent still prefer Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson, while one percent opt for Green Party nominee Jill Stein.
Rasmussen found 3 percent like some other candidate and 6 percent are undecided. The poll showed Trump had gained a point since the previous survey.

The Rasmussen poll is based on a three-day rolling average of 1,500 likely U.S. voters. “Most voters aren’t buying the story that the Russians are trying to manipulate the election for Trump but think the U.S. media is trying to swing things for Clinton,” the pollster said.

“Trump views radical Islamic terrorism as the number one threat to the United States and says Russia would make a good ally in fighting that threat. Republicans and Trump supporters strongly agree that radical Islam is the bigger threat, but Democrats and Clinton voters tend to rate Russia as just as big a danger.”

At Real Clear Politics, the Bloomberg result was listed. It has Clinton up nine. Others were the Economist/YouGov and ReutersIpsos, which both had Clinton up four.

The results came as Trump and Clinton prepared for their third and final presidential election debate, Wednesday night in Las Vegas.
