Nominal GDP $23 billion. GDP rank 110th. GDP by sector: agriculture 13.9%, industry 27.7%, services 58.4%.

Main industries: sugar, coffee, cigars, wood products, knit apparel. Ease of doing business 105th.

Exports $8.173 billion including coffee, bananas, palm oil, fruit, lobster, gold, wire harnesses sold to US 36.7%, Germany 10.7%, El Salvador 8.6%, Guatemala 6.5%, Netherlands 5.4% Nicaragua 5.3%,

Imports: $10.87 billion including machinery, transport equipment, industrial raw materials, chemical products, fuels, foodstuffs purchased from US 32.8%, China 14.1%, Guatemala 8.9%, Mexico 7.3% and El Salvador 5.7%.
