Bachmann:
Standing By Trump The Right Choice For America’s Women "What we need to

Former
Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., said the women of America need to join her in
rallying behind Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
In two
separate interviews, Bachmann, a staunch conservative, said the issue to focus
upon is not how Trump talked while he was still in the world of real estate
development and entertainment, but what his election means for the future.
“What we
need to look at is President Trump vs. President Hillary Clinton and what that
would mean for women in America,” Bachmann said Wednesday on Trending Today USA
on the USA Radio Network.
“I’m a
full-throated, unapologetic conservative and I can easily get behind
Donald Trump. I’m a woman of faith,” she said. “I’m a born-again believer
in Jesus Christ and have been for 42 years and I have no problem supporting
this man.”
In a Tuesday interview with American Pastors
Network President Sam Rohrer, Bachmann said media critics are holding Trump to
a vastly different standard than the one to which former President Bill Clinton
is held.
“There’s
no similarity between what Donald Trump said 11 years ago and what Bill Clinton
did,” Bachmann said. “Is sexual assault against women a big issue? You bet it
is.”
“And the
best thing that Christian men can do is make sure that Hillary Clinton does not
become president and the best thing that Christian women can do is make sure
that Hillary Clinton does not become president,” she said.
Bachmann
noted that on the most critical issue facing women, Trump is on the right side.“Donald
Trump has already released a list of only pro-life judges that he will
support,” the former congresswoman promised. “Hillary Clinton will set a
standard in this country that will lead to even more sexual assaults against
women because she will be setting an anti-biblical agenda.”
Bachmann
also said that disaffection with Trump is not as
widespread as the media would make Americans believe. She said that after a Monday
conference call by House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., many members of Congress
were confused by what Ryan was doing in telling them he would no longer defend
Trump but would not rescind his endorsement.
“I spoke
with members yesterday that were on this conference call,” Bachmann told CNN.
“And the members said, to a person, people were in support of Donald Trump and
they really were perplexed why Paul even had the conference call in the first
place because Donald Trump delivered a masterful performance in the second
debate.”
“So I
think that this isn’t a civil war, as you wrote it. It’s really the members in
Congress who are saying, ‘We’re not going to fall in line and abandon Donald
Trump,'” she added.
