Liberals live in a
fantasy world of “the possible”, unfettered by facts. In Hollywood, fantasy is
their profession and their livelihoods depend on us believing their fantasies.
They have a vested interest in us believing their fictional concoctions. We see
their movies for entertainment and we are usually happy with that. But we have
noticed that they have decided to mess with our economy and our livelihood with
their fictional theories of how our economy ought to work. This is both
irritating and dangerous.
The first Liberals on
the planet were Socrates and Plato, whose work resulted in publishing “The
Republic” in 380 BC. It described an idyllic society that defied the laws of
human nature. It attempted to define “morality” and “right behavior”. They did
this in an era of rampant pagan immorality.
Oddly enough, the Greek gods did follow the laws of human nature; they
were evil and rotten. Strangely, nobody noticed the dichotomy, because they
didn’t find debauchery as immoral.
Socrates began this
circle jerk trying to define “justice”, which has always been in the mind of
the beholder. He then predicted that democracy would evolve to oligarchy and
then tyranny. He was an optimist.
Homer described the
gods before 800 BC with fanciful stories of adventure and gave us a good
description of the bad behavior displayed by the Greek gods. Homer could be
considered to be the founder of the Hollywood movies long before Cecil B.
DeMille.
