US Household Debt


US household debt is up to $13 trillion.

25% of US households report being “debt free”, up from 14% 2 years ago.

35% of US credit card users pay off the full balance each month and incur no interest charges.

US household loan balances include $1.38 trillion in Student Loans, $1.22 trillion in auto loans, $.83 trillion in credit card balances and $.39 trillion in other loans.

The US National Debt is approaching $175,000 per taxpayer. There are 121,413,738 US taxpayers supporting a population of 327,727,393.

US household mortgage debt balances are at $8.8 trillion.
