“For hire drivers accused of violent crimes” was no surprise.
The business model for
Uber sounded good at first. It was a taxicab company that was free from the
crippling fees charged to real taxicab companies by cities and counties. But
the Uber model is failing. Uber rides for
short distances cost $15 and that’s too high.
Also, they might not show up.
Also, they might have a criminal for a driver.
