Norway has a
population of 5.4 million with a land area of 148,728 square miles next to
Sweden on the North Sea. Norway is a net exporter of petroleum and natural gas.
Norway’s GDP is $391
billion, per capita GDP is $76,000, GDP sectors include services 63.5%,
industry 34.7% and agriculture 1.6%. The Labor Force is 2.8 million,
unemployment is 4%.
Main industries
include petroleum, natural gas, shipping, fishing, aquaculture, food
processing, ship building, pulp and paper, metals, chemicals, timber, mining
and textiles.
Exports are $92.4
billion to the UK, Germany, Netherlands, France, Sweden and Belgium and include
petroleum, machinery metals chemicals ships and fish.
Imports are $73.02
billion from Sweden, Germany, China, UK, US and Denmark and include machinery,
chemicals, metals and food. Government debt is 30% of GDP, revenue is $300
billion and expenses are $200 billion.
It is expensive to
live in Norway and their birthrate continues to fall below replacement. Their Muslim population is 2.3% and they do
not assimilate.
