If the US didn’t exist

If the British had won the Revolutionary War, what is now the US would have remained a part of the Great Britain and would now certainly be a nation-member of the British Commonwealth like Canada and Australia.

We would not have been able to purchase the Louisiana Territory from France and might not have taken over the Western States from Mexico. Britain would have likely waged war with the French to take over the Louisiana Territory. Britain was already at war with the French in Europe because of Napoleon’s expansionist wars. France had become an ally of the American Revolutionaries and sent their fleet to enable us to win this war.

If there had been no United States, Cuba might still be a Spanish colony and California might be part of Mexico. As for World War I, Germany and Austro-Hungary might have taken over several Eastern European countries and signed an armistice with Great Britain and Russia to secure their new borders. Russia would have wanted Poland. Without a defeated Germany there might not have been a World War II.  US involvement in both World War I and World War II was the key to supplying and winning these wars.

Now we have the EU and Germany seems to be its most influential member, but the UN controls the EU and it may be unraveling due to UN and EU overreach with the Refugee policy.
