Government Disinformation

During the Vietnam War from 1955 to 1975, the government line to the media didn’t jibe with what we heard from our returning troops. We understood “fighting to win”, but we didn’t understand a “limited war” or a “war of containment”. We heard President Kennedy saying that he had doubts that the South Vietnamese people even wanted to win. They also didn’t like their President.

We had observed the dome of silence to win World War II in 1945, but by 1965 the government had converted the CIA to impose the dome of bullshit. The CIA put a happy face on their reports and colluded with the military to undercount US casualties and over-count North Vietnamese casualties. This is what Lyndon Johnson wanted, because he was crafty but stupid. He didn’t realize that North Vietnam would not quit.

During World War II, the US used disinformation to its advantage. The US deployed 1,100 soldiers to operate the “Ghost Army” with rubber tanks and guns to fool the Nazi Army. The US used secrecy to mask plans. “Loose lips sink ships” was used to encourage secrecy.

The US government went rogue over the past decade and expanded classified information to include stealth political corruption and granted an excessive number of security clearances to political cronies and low level functionaries. Liberals have been infiltrating government jobs for 100 years and now most government employees are Democrats. This is the same infiltration we’ve seen in the faculty of US universities.
