Retail Companies

Comments

Retail is necessary in the US, but we buy too much unnecessary “stuff”. We need to reduce individual and household debt more than we need more “stuff”. Retail got caught in their own mystique. They moved from main-street to malls and emphasized “the shopping experience”, so kids hung out at malls rather than work. But when goods became available on line, shoppers went on line. Now kids hang out texting rather than working.  Retail is undergoing an “industry shakeout” and each side is finding its way.
