US Fortune 501-1000 Companies

The Fortune 501 to 1000 includes the next largest companies with revenue of $1.8 billion to $5.4 billion. See list below.

M/I Homes $1.966
Deluxe $1.965.6

Vanguard offers Index Fund investments in their 500 Index and 1000 Index offerings. The difference in returns in the S&P 500 and S&P 1000 is that Vanguard chooses now many shares to buy and tries to avoid companies that have weakened.  Small Cap stocks have revenue between $300 million and $2 billion.

I was surprised to see 271 US manufacturing companies in the Fortune 1000. I didn’t think there would be that many. I hope the US will double the number of manufacturing operations in the US.  I am pleased that the US is expanding its oil and gas production and expect this to reduce the US trade deficit. These expansions should restore middle class jobs and restore minimum wage jobs to US students. The US economy needs to increase private sector productivity and decrease government spending and debt. Needed advances in US technology should come from the defense sector as they always have.
