GA Education Bill Problems

HB 91 passed in the house. It will eliminate the only test left that actually tests reading. It will eliminate the only non common core test we have left. Nobody will know how far we have fallen in academic terms. Teacher advisors will make decisions to force some students into workforce development tracks and they will not be paid for work based learning thanks to last year’s HB 766. Now students will be able to get a high school diploma and not have to pass any gateway test. We will have high school graduates with no more than a 10th grade education thanks to SB 2 as well that passed in the senate. We need to stop both these bills when they go to the senate/house. Please spread the word. It is hard to watch Georgia education crumble before our eyes. Contact your Georgia legislators.
