Question the News

US voters need to be skeptical about everything Liberals are saying today. Liberals are fighting to keep Obamacare and the bloated US federal bureaucracy. They will also fight to keep open borders and more spending.

Liberals are saying that Obamacare can’t be replaced quickly, but they are not explaining why this should take so long.  I believe it can be done quickly and Liberals are just trying to delay the replacement, so they can blame Republicans for repealing it.

They are attempting to resurrect Russia as the “bogyman”. They are trying to make the case that we should continue our uber-expensive foreign relations policies. It is clear that our recent policies did more damage than good in the Middle East.  Also, we are broke and cannot continue to support this expensive structure.  We do need superior military capability, but we don’t need to use it. US taxpayers are not responsible for the welfare of citizens in other countries.

The new Trump cabinet candidates are not going after excessive federal spending, but instead are answering Senate questions to indicate the need to make changes in how agencies operate. I am content to let this process unfold to include reductions in federal spending as they are determined. The federal hiring freeze has not been attacked and that in itself will take cost out of the system.
