History Lessons

Trump wants citizens of all countries to prosper and he knows they will need to change their policies in order to accomplish this.  His goal is world peace. Countries striving to improve their citizens’ lives are less likely to get into trouble with their neighbors.

Trump believes that the free market, small government model offered in the US Constitution is the formula that would work better for all countries. His first order of business is to restore the US private economy and the rule of law.

European history is full of examples of government failures and existential mistakes and it continues today.

Stumbling into World War I in 1914 was completely avoidable, but instead of demanding the arrest, trial and punishment of the Serbian terrorist who assassinated Archduke Franz Ferdinand, Austro-Hungary declared war on Serbia. This triggered mutual defense treaties that resulted in this unnecessary disaster. It killed the spirit of Europe and they never recovered. Germany paid the price for honoring its treaty with Austro-Hungary.

Russia succumbed to Communism in 1917. Russians were angry at the Tsar and removed the Monarchy. Instead of allowing Communist thugs to take over, they should have adopted a copy of the US Constitution. But, politics is reserved for those who show up.

In order to keep the Monarchies and other government structures in Europe, these governments tried to bribe their voters with freebies.

Allowing Hitler to take control of Germany in 1933 was another colossal mistake and caused World War II.

This caused Europe to lose its freedom and self-reliance. Europe succumbed to unsustainable Socialism and Secular Statism.

In 1937 Japan invaded and occupied Northern China. When they left in 1945 it created a vacuum. The USSR supplied weapons to Mao’s forces and they took over Northern China and drove the Chinese Nationalists to Taiwan. The same thing happened when the US Military left Iraq in 2011 and created a vacuum that was filled by ISIS.

Rather than learning the lessons of history, Europe now finds itself under the control of greedy, unelected, autocratic, delusional UN governance under the EU.  Brexit could unravel the EU and return Europe to trying sovereign countries again. That would be a good place to regroup. They will need to let their socialist programs shrink and disappear.  Removing welfare benefits from migrants is a good start.

Trump is now challenging all foreign countries to govern themselves to establish policies that benefit their own citizens by expanding their own private economies. He is also hinting that the US will not continue to send money to bribe them into behaving. Trump respects the rights of citizens to maintain their national sovereignty.
