The United Nations Future is Up to Trump, by Lisa

If you’ve been paying attention to
world politics for a while now, you probably have a rather strong opinion about
the United Nations. The idea of a group of countries, coming together, to solve
the world’s problems sounds like a fantastic idea. If everyone could get along
and work through issues, that would be fantastic.
However, that is simply not what the
UN actually does. For the most part, it is a group of non-elected heads of
governments who bicker back and forth without actually ever doing anything. The
UN doesn’t have a problem with putting sanctions on unpopular nations such as
North Korea, but when it comes down to preventing a world crisis, it’s stuck
with its hands in its pockets. Every time there is a civil war or genocide in
Africa, the UN turns the other way.
More often than not, it relies on
the United States to do all of its work. This also means the United States
foots the bill for the UN. Even the UN building is located in the United States
when realistically it should be located in a neutral nation. Just another way
the US foots the bill.
So why doesn’t the UN actually do
anything? Because deep down, it is control by big money backers. The UN
expected Hillary Clinton to win the presidency (a major reason why so many
backers behind UN representatives gave money to the Clinton Foundation).
However, the election of Donald
Trump has thrown a major wrench into the UN’s ultimate plans. Just how bad is
this going to get for the UN? Check out this video to find out.
