Travel Moratorium Dilemma

Trump’s Order to ban travel from 7 terrorist countries has hit a snag.  Travelers who have US green cards or are US citizens would not have their right to return “home”. So, the order should be fine if it just restricts “non-citizens” and US green card holders.  But some of these “citizens” could be traveling to receive terrorist training and are returning to the US to perform terrorist acts.  If these folks cannot be subject to the travel ban, they at least should be thoroughly investigated to ensure that they are not terrorists.

This 120 day moratorium, if it is ever allowed to start, can be viewed as a precursor to other actions. It brings up the possible need for more thorough restrictions. The Order doesn’t include Afghanistan or Pakistan, where terror training camps also exist. It doesn’t address the 22 terror training camps already in the US or the camps in Mexico.

The US should withdraw from the UN Refugee Program entirely. Why can Poland do this but the US can’t?

Congress is considering further Immigration legislation that promises to end anchor-baby, lottery, chain migration, H2b and other holes in the law.  They are looking at overall immigration limits and should limit immigration to necessary H1b and H2a immigrants.
