Trump
is starting to reduce federal land in States where they have a plan and the
resources to take over the management of these designated areas.
Antiquities
Act of 1906 requires selecting the smallest possible areas as national parks,
but this was not done. Democrat Presidents have designated excessive acres of
land to implement UN Agenda 21.
Barack Obama last December established Bears Ears, a
1.35-million-acre expanse that is home to tens of thousands of ancestral Pueblo
archaeological sites, while Bill Clinton designated the nearly
1.9-million-acre Grand Staircase-Escalante in 1996
Trump
signed 2 proclamations to reduce the “monument’s” size in these 2 areas, Bears to cut the size of Bears Ears from 1.35 million acres by
1 million acres leaving 350,000 acres. But the cable TV news reports this will
shrink by 85%. The Grand Staircase-Escalante was stated to shrink from 1.9
million acres to between 700,000 or 1.2 million acres. Cable news thinks it
will be cut in half. Both will remain
National Monuments, but will be administered by the State of Utah.
Trump signed an executive order in April instructing Zinke to scrutinize any national monument
larger than 100,000 acres that had been established in the last 21 years, Interior
Secretary Ryan Zinke recommended scaling back both monuments
