Writing This Blog

I publish this blog to cover issues that are under-reported or not reported at all by the media. This blog currently has 6000 page views per month with half of these in the US and the other half in other countries.

I am a Tea Party collection point for these articles and find them in WND, Breitbart, Armstrong Economics, Refugee Resettlement Watch, New American and other conservative publications.

I write and republish these articles because I believe we need to limit immigration, government spending and debt and we need to increase productivity to protect our national economy. I get these articles from my Tea Party Team and from these publications via email notifications.

I write articles on the economy, history and related issues to show the cause and effect of political actions. Writing is one of my “motivated abilities”. My “world view” comes from my classical education and business experience.

I did a lot of writing in grade school, high school and college. Most of our exams had written answers, not multiple choice.

I served as a columnist off and on and most of my work was humor.

My first writing jobs came in high school. I attended Christian Brothers College Military HS and was chosen to write a monthly column as the school’s “Prom Reporter” for publication in Prom Magazine. I was also a yearbook editor. I graduated in 1961.

I was asked to write a monthly column for Kansas Business News in 1979 and did this until 1983.  I wrote columns for the Salina Journal Newspaper. Most were opinion editorials and most were packed with humor.

I was asked to write a monthly column for Computer Currents in the 1990s in Atlanta and did that for a while.

I wrote a couple of monthly columns for the Medical Association of Georgia in 1993, packed with humor.

I started public speaking in the high school Speech Team and have given a lot of talks on various subjects and hosted a lot of meetings through the years.

I wrote a lot of letters to Congress in the 1980s and 1990s and kept these in a word.doc file.

In 2011, I started this blog with the letters I wrote to Congress and you can find them under posts written in 2010. I have been writing and re-publishing articles ever since.

My best, life-long friend from high school is Mike Peters, Pulitzer Winning Editorial Cartoonist and Humorist. Mike says he got angry every day about something that resonated with him. His editorial cartoons reflect his topics with humor.

Using that same “gut feel”, I choose what I think I should post.
