Venezuela Options

The stalemate continues in Venezuela, because the citizens had their guns and bullets confiscated years ago. Citizens cannot defend themselves. Maduro’s military is blocking food and medical aid from entry into Venezuela.

Maduro’s plan is obviously to allow Venezuela’s citizens to starve or flee to neighboring countries, but he will not allow aid to enter the country.

It is possible that the US and other South American countries would form a military force to invade Venezuela and arrest Maduro and his allies to allow Guaido to return as interim President. South America could use a NATO-type force to remove terrorists and drug cartels.

China and Russia have contracts with the Maduro government to allow them to drill and ship oil to pay for the $60 billion they invested in Venezuela.  So far, they are backing Maduro.

It’s possible that Trump could get China to remove and rescue Maduro and his allies, but getting China to do this is a long shot.

It looks like everybody is waiting for Maduro’s forces to start shooting protestors and create a massacre before the US and other countries take military action.
