Flood Remediation 10-13-24

The Hurricanes in 2024 have taken a toll on property damage. Over the next few months, families will need to prevent mold from spreading in their house.

Water damage to Drywall requires the removal of the water-soaked drywall and this needs to be done carefully to avoid cutting pipes and electrical wiring. You need to use a saw with a ½ inch blade.

You need to remove all insulation from the wall. After the wet drywall is removed, you need to treat the wall using Shockwave. Do not use Chlorox or anything else, because it will send the mold throughout the house..

Shockwave is an EPA-registered disinfectant, sanitizer and cleaner designed for use on various surfaces subject to microbial contamination, ideal for flooding and mold remediation.  ShockWave is especially useful as an all-in-one product for treating wood framing, carpets, and other porous and nonporous surfaces as part of a complete mold remediation project.

Most of this work is being done by Church Sponsored Groups, who should be using Shockwave, because it is the only chemical that will kill mold. Other chemicals actually spread mold.
