Taking Away Grandma’s Car

The front page AJC article, “Elderly drivers facing dilemma”, 4/20/15 sends a signal that there will be a campaign to remove “seniors” freedom of movement by not granting drivers’ licenses to anyone over age 65. I suggest that all “seniors” begin to write their state legislators NOW.
There is ample evidence for this warning.  ARC, the delusional Atlanta Regional Commission has long claimed that they must “do something with seniors”.  Their obsession is to raise MARTA ridership and not have to fix our roads and highways to become useable.
UN Agenda 21 wants everyone packed in transit villages in 400 square foot apartments with no cars, in mega-cities, so that’s where they’re going with this. I advise “seniors” to stay in their paid-off homes, especially for medical care.
“Seniors” have money and everybody wants it. Counties want to build “senior centers”. Developers want to build “senior retirement homes” and “senior townhomes. All of this will be overpriced and should therefore be ignored.
Public transit is inefficient and financially unsustainable and shouldn’t be funded by tax dollars. Independence and personal mobility are the life-blood of all Americans. “Seniors” should be free to pursue both.
ARC should be disbanded along with all the other appointed, unelected Regional Commissions plaguing Georgia counties.  Regionalism is another requirement of UN Agenda 21 implementation in the U.S. and should be removed from Georgia by repealing HB 277 and HB 1216.
