Dump McCain AZ

Poll Spells Trouble for John McCain, from Senate Conservatives.com 6/3/15

Only 37% of primary voters say they generally support him compared to 51% who say they wants someone more conservative.

Senator John McCain is in real trouble. If a strong conservative candidate runs against him in the Republican primary next year, he will lose.

Here's the report from Public Policy Polling, which conducted a survey last month of voters in Arizona:

"John McCain's troubles with conservatives have him in a whole lot of trouble for reelection next year. Even among Republican primary voters just 41% approve of the job he's doing to 50% who disapprove. Only 37% of primary voters say they generally support him for renomination, compared to 51% who say they would prefer someone 'more conservative.'"

There are few Republicans who have betrayed our conservative principles more than John McCain.

He wrote the McCain-Kennedy and "Gang of Eight" immigration bills that offered amnesty to millions of illegal aliens. He also voted for the Wall Street bailout, Obamacare funding, the $600 billion "fiscal cliff" tax hike, and to raise the debt limit 14 different times!

John McCain lost his way a long time ago and it's time to replace him with a strong conservative leader who will support and defend the Constitution.

KEEP YOUR POWDER DRY

SCF has NOT endorsed a candidate in this race yet.

One candidate, State Senator Kelli Ward of Lake Havasu City, has announced an exploratory committee. Kelli is motivated for the right reasons, but we're not ready to endorse her at this time.

It's still early and we're working to make sure we back the right candidate. Arizona doesn't have a run-off election so it's very important for us all to unite behind the strongest candidate. Otherwise, conservatives will divide their votes and Senator McCain will win.

You may be contacted by various candidates and groups asking for your support in this race, but we urge you to use caution. These candidates may not be viable and many PACs don't do anything serious to help candidates.

There is something you can do right now that will help us prepare.

Sign our "Retire McCain" petition and pledge to donate a specific amount if SCF endorses a strong candidate that you support. (https://secure.senateconservatives.com/i4j7l/s?c=38f04a8c4d17a91fb54b8399b317ef50)

This petition tells us if you're willing to help us replace Senator McCain and the pledge lets us know how much money can be raised to win this race.

It also sends a message to the DC establishment that the grassroots are energized and ready to replace McCain.

The petition takes just one minute so please give us your feedback today.

Thank you for standing strong for freedom and for being willing to change Washington by changing the people we send there.

We also need to dump all other legislators who score below 50% on Conservative Review, the Club for Growth, New American, Heritage Action, Numbers USA and electtherightcandidate.us.
