Fast Track – Why are Voters Ignored ?

Why they aren't listening to us ?

Despite the wishes of the vast majority of conservative activists and the American people, the Republican leaders in Congress continue to press forward to give President Obama his coveted "fast track" trade authority.

WHY??? Simple. Big Money interests want it. These interests control massive campaign contributions that congressmen need in order to get re-elected and advance themselves in Washington.

With the cost of running for Congress in a primary close to $1,000,000, it is only natural that the donor class should hold such power and the activists and people be ignored.

There is a way to fix this, Caucuses.

Under a caucus (convention) system the cost of running for congress will drop by as much a 90%, allowing grassroots candidates and congressmen to run and win without selling themselves to special interests.

I agree and would add that campaign contributions need to be reformed so that politicians report to the voters and not the special interests.  I would limit campaign contributions to registered voters who would only be able to contribute to candidates who would appear on their ballot.
