Bipartisanship Inappropriate

Republicans need to forge ahead and pass what they need to pass to get on track. This means Republicans will need to develop bills, release them in advance and vote on them. Democrats will want to continue their obstruction, but Republicans need to ignore them and not allow delays.

Republicans in Congress need to get prepared to pass the total repeal of Obamacare as soon as possible. Charities should pick up the slack to subsidize the expensively sick who are chronically poor and not offer a “replacement bill”. Only then will citizens see needed reductions in unnecessary healthcare costs. Republicans also need to support rolling back malpractice cost, big pharma price gouging and regulatory abuse.

This will not be easy for Congress to do. Members of the House and Senate have been mesmerized into “group-think” that shifts their loyalties to “the institutions” if the Senate and House. When people enter Congress, they are given a through “orientation” to the arcane rules that are religiously followed by all members.

If Congress could pare back “Robert’s Rules of Order and cut the size of their bills in half, they could accomplish twice as much and even roll back agency overreach as it occurs. Obviously, Politicians will continue to operate in dysfunction until they can roll back Lobbying money and reduce campaign costs. Congress should not spend all of their time raising money.

Congress needs to write the bills and the regulations and present both for a vote to actually take charge of their responsibilities.  Congress should take each bill separately and limit it to the topic.  Congress should only allow Amendments to bills that affect that bill.  Congress should not pass any bills that include unrelated Amendments. Congress should not pass Omnibus bills or Continuing Resolutions.

The big job ahead for Congress involves bringing the federal government into full compliance with the US Constitution (as originally written). The “Constitution” they are now following has been corrupted by 150 years of Supreme Court errors that allow federal government overreach. The Courts should not create laws and their “opinions” should trigger a review of the law in question, so Congress can clarify the law. Regulations created by agencies should be reviewed by Congress and voted on prior to their release. Agencies should not have the authority to create law.

We are watching RINOs unravel. Many are resigning. Those members of Congress who liked the unaccountable way they operated are being outed by their own words and demeanor.
