DNC Rigged for Hillary

MSNBC on Dems: ‘A Bag Job From the Beginning’

At least a few contributors to that bastion of liberalism that is MSNBC are willing to express an honest opinion regarding how biased the DNC has been in their dealings with the two Democratic candidates vying for the nomination.

Two separate MSNBC programs and panels discussed the presidential race and how obvious it has been that the DNC is actively rigging the process in favor of Hillary Clinton.

Chris Hayes said, “It can be the case that it is true – it is institutionally the prerogative of the Democratic Party to nominate Hillary Clinton and also she is winning. Right, it seems to me that is the issue here. Like sure, the Democratic Party of Nevada does what Harry Reid says. And they’re – you know what I mean? You are right about that.”

“But you’re exactly right” Philip Bump responded. “The Democratic National Committee, I’m sure, is mostly leaning towards preferring to have Hillary Clinton as the nominee.”

“I think this also exposes another problem,” Christina Greer said. “Which is the frustration with Bernie Sanders supporters where it feels as though Debbie Wasserman Schultz has always had her thumb on the scale for Hillary Clinton and so have so many other Democratic leaders across the country.”

Hayes agreed, “Right, like it is clearly the case that – when given truth serum – Debbie Wasserman Schultz vastly prefers Hillary Clinton to be the nominee, obviously, and to the extent there are things that can be done institutionally and marginally to facilitate that outcome.”

The panel on Morning Joe had a similar discussion. Mike Barnacle told the panel, “Yeah, look, you can make a strong case, a legitimate case that this has been a bag job from the beginning with the establishment of the debates.” “Total bag job,” Joe Scarborough said.

“And Bernie keeps using the phrase “rigged.” It has been rigged,” Barnacle continued.
Mika Brzezinski then said, “The way the system has been rigged to a coronation from the get-go due to [Debbie Wasserman Schultz] is exactly what that is.”

“Bernie Sanders has been running on a 45 percent angled slope from the very start,” Scarborough said. “Hillary Clinton has had every advantage, every break given to her from the very beginning by this Democratic Party. It has been rigged.” What do you make of what is happening on the Democrats side? Does this bode well for Republicans?
