Tech Companies Oppose Travel Ban

You would think that Global Tech Companies would object to travel restrictions, because they don’t like anything that might disrupt their “global” trade.  But the 7 countries listed in Trump’s order are more likely to send and return terrorists than they are likely to have the next Einstein.

The lame excuse Tech Companies have for objecting to Trump’s order is as follows:

"Immigrants make many of the Nation’s greatest discoveries, and create some of the country’s most innovative and iconic companies," the brief states. “America has long recognized the importance of protecting ourselves against those who would do us harm. But it has done so while maintaining our fundamental commitment to welcoming immigrants—through increased background checks and other controls on people seeking to enter our country.”

This is laughable. Our “fundamental commitment to welcoming immigrants” has been suspended in the past and this is one of those times. All immigration was stopped for years during the Great Depression. We don’t need more low skilled labor or welfare recipients right now.
