California Forest Fires

California occupies a land area of 163,696 square miles. That’s 2.4 billion acres.  45,864,800 acres of land in California is mismanaged by the federal government. This land should be given back to the State of California for them to mismanage until they get enough sense to sell it or go bankrupt.

The 2018 California wildfires are a series of wildfires that have burned across the state of California during the year of 2018. A national disaster was declared in Northern California on August 4, 2018. A total of 4,983 fires had burned an area of 610,266 acres (2,469.66 km2), according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and the National Interagency Fire Center, as of August 6.
