There is no reason why
the US should make non-citizens eligible for US Welfare Programs. That includes food stamps, housing
assistance, healthcare, education and other subsidies.
These Welfare Programs
serve as an incentive for illegal immigration and refugee programs. We could eliminate all illegals and refugees
if we ended funding for welfare for all non-citizens. This could save the US
government over $300 billion per year. There are about 20 million illegals in
the US and 55% are subsidized by welfare programs. If these subsidies went away, they would move
back to their home countries.
Immigration policy
based on merit and need could then be restored. All immigrants and all
immigrants and refugees should be self-supporting and sponsored by individual
families or corporations.
