These countries need to increase their arable land.
Countries
with the most arable land include the US, India, Russia, China, Brazil, Canada,
Nigeria and Ukraine
https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/arable-land-by-country
Deserts cover 33% of the Earth. Permafrost covers 11% of the Northern Hemisphere. 44% of Earth’s land is not arable.
Arable land can be created by diverting rivers. This requires the creation of fresh-water lakes that can be dammed to produce electricity. Arable land can also be created by de-salinizing ocean water. Poor countries can increase their arable land by digging ditches from fresh water lakes and rivers and digging wells.
All countries need to protect their arable land and their ability to grow their own food. The US Congress needs to pass a law that bans the sale of US farmland to foreign countries. China would be forced sell back the farms they bought on US land.
