US Jobs

Expect job gains in the private sector economy. There are jobs for US citizens in oil producing States to build and manage pipelines and infrastructure.  There are thousands of jobs for interstate truck drivers. There will be jobs for construction workers as companies build new plants and buildings where these activities are occurring.

There will be manufacturing jobs as plants are opened and staffing begins. These plants should be highly automated, but I expect employers to provide training on operating their unique equipment. I also expect most manufacturing plants to be in the suburbs or rural counties as they were before the “great sucking sound” of jobs leaving the US occurred after 1993. I expect community colleges will help companies with whatever training they require. I expect temp services will expand to help as well.

We expect that the number of Welfare Immigrants and Refugees will be reduced and the jobs they held will be restored to US citizens.  Students should replace immigrants and refugees in retail and fast food. Blue collar jobs should return to local labor market staffing.
