US Jobs and Income

US Household Income Rising - US Household income reached $62,175 in June 2018, up from $48,203 in 2010.  Growth over the past 15 months has been 2.7%.

Jobs for New Grads - Underemployment of new college grads is declining and approaching 10% in 2018. The peak was in 2012 with a underemployment rate approaching 20%.

Those college grads who prepared for public sector employment are finding that government budgets have tightened and there are no openings for the jobs they wanted. This is especially true for environmental science grads.

Jobs for Electronics Hardware Design Engineers and Mechanical Engineers will not increase until Electronics Manufacturing returns to the US.

Demand will continue for Math majors, Software Developers and Cyber Security Developers.  Our financial and utility infrastructure must be designed to resist hacking.
