While many appliances have existed for
centuries, the self-contained electric or gas powered appliances are a uniquely
American innovation that emerged in the twentieth century.
Major appliances include: home furnaces, air conditioners, dishwashers, clothes dryers, freezers,
refrigerators, kitchen stoves, water heaters, washing machines, trash compactors, microwave ovens, induction cookers. sewing
machines, computers, wireless phones, cell phones. TVs, radios, cars, trucks
power tools and lawnmoors. .
Before the US
off-shored its manufacturing, the “appliances” and everything else we all need
and use were manufactured by US companies and US plants.
The other things we
needed and bought includes clothing, shoes, food, drink, toilet paper, paper
towels, paper bags, soap, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, shavers, hair dryers,
brushes, combs and everything else we use every day.
All of the products we
bought used to be made in the USA. We lowered corporate taxes and cancelled
unnecessary regulations and are using tariffs give us the opportunity to bring
these companies back. They will return in “Right to Work States” near small
cities in rural counties.
The products need to
be superior and cheaper. This will require good product design and automation
aimed at increasing through-put productivity and ensured quality.
