water, rock, sand, gravel and cement. Cement is made from lime 65%, silica 25%
and small percents of aluminum oxide, magnesium oxide, iron oxide, calcium
sulfatem sulfer trioxide and alkaline.,
Lime is made from
crushing limestone to make calcium carbonate.
Concrete costs $65 per
cubic yard plus delivery cost $60. Fully loaded, a concrete truck holds 10
cubic yards of concrete. Installation requires grading, compacting, adding rock
to the base, placing iron rebar on the rock and building the wood form. Pouring
and settling the concrete is next. Finishing includes bull floating and broom
