The US has had a
build-up of trade deficits with China since 1985. The cumulative deficits over
35 years total $5 trillion. The data above is what Trump has been referring to
since the 2016 campaign. The Deep State wanted us to ignore it. The US media
doesn’t cover it. 25% Tariffs on $420 billion of Chinese imports to the US
would amount to $105 billion in Tariffs. US companies would move their
manufacturing back to the US.
