Isakson Needs a Challenger

JOHNNY ISAKSON IS SET TO ANNOUNCE HIS RE-ELECTION-CAMPAIGN
Sorry folks Isakson is not retiring anytime soon. With Johnny Isakson scoring so low on numerous conservative Republican scorecards it makes one wonder who will challenge him? The fact of the matter is Senator Isakson is half the time a Democrat and the other half a moderate Republican. Please refer to his voting record and not rhetoric. Keep in mind he voted numerous times to increase the debt ceiling, for TARP, for Obamacare funding, the NSA, the disgusting TSA agency, he didn’t even vote against the militarization of local police forces. And those are just a few highly liberal actions he has taken while Senator.
Freedom Works gives him a 67%, Heritage Foundation gives him a 49%, Conservative review gives him a Liberty Score of 46%, Club for Growth gives him a 59%, Other organizations give him 0%, he has refused to answer any questions from numerous conservative groups such as Campaign for Liberty and the Republican Liberty Caucus while real Conservatives like Jody Hice and Paul Broun gladly took a stance and answered the tough questions. The reality is anyway you slice it Isakson is not a conservative but falls more in line with individuals such as John McCain or Lindsey Graham in the category of liberal Republican or RINO. He receives Fs across the Republican spectrum.
The questions on some of these surveys are pretty straight forward and as Conservative Republican as it gets. Some examples are…
-Will you vote to oppose any legislation that allows the federal government to prohibit the sale, use, or carrying of firearms?
-Will you oppose any debt limit increase?
-Will you support an Audit the Fed bill?
-Will you support efforts to end the NSA’s unconstitutional domestic spying program?
-Will you oppose all tax increases?
-Will you vote to defund Obamacare?
The fact of the matter is Johnny Isakson is a very disliked Senator both within the Republican Party, Tea Party faction, Liberty faction, Conservatives and various other special interest groups throughout Georgia. The only real question the RLC has is who will challenge the liberal Republican? Will it be Rep. Lynn Westmoreland, Rep. Allen West, Derrick Grayson, or possible other Georgia politicians? Also don’t think Democrats won’t run for the seat, maybe someone like Mayor Kasim Reed. Perdue only won with 52% and that was a non-Presidential year. Democrats don’t come out during non-Presidential years.
David Perdue 52.89%
Michelle Nunn 45.21%
Andrew Hunt 1.90%

At the end of the day the Republican Party needs real Republicans in office and not moderates, liberals, or RINOs in office if it is to win over the hearts and minds of voters. Democrats are Democrats. We all know what they stand for and they vote for what they preach. Republicans need to do the same. If our individual candidates run as Republicans they better be voting as Republicans. The scorecards and countless liberal votes Isakson has taken display how he is not a true Republican.
