Teens need Jobs
Before the days of excessive immigration,
our kids worked to cut the grass and rake the leaves and deliver the newspapers
and did many jobs.
When they became age 14, they could work,
with their parent’s written permission, as dishwashers and janitors and in other
jobs.
When they became are 16, they could get
their own cars and drive to jobs in fast food, restaurant work, grocery store
work, retail store work, lifeguarding and other jobs.
Most of these jobs have now been taken by
immigrants, minorities and college grads.
Teens need jobs to learn responsibility
and to learn to work. It gives them structure and an appreciation of self-reliance.
