Household
counts include those living with parents, but filing their taxes as a
“household”. 30% of US “households” lack
the income to be self-supporting.
A single
person “household” needs an annual income of at least $35000 to be able to pay
their bills in the US. Many of the “working poor are subsidized by Medicaid,
Food Stamps and parents.
They need
to move from their minimum wage jobs to higher paying jobs and need the
motivation to do this. They need to find jobs they are good at and enjoy, so
they can succeed. Nobody else can do
this for them. They have to take responsibility for their own success.
