Airport Fight

AJC 1/31/18 article Hartsfield Jackson – Opponents promise to fight more state control of airport reveals that upon hearing a rumor that the Gold Dome wants to meddle with the airport, Mayor Bottoms is getting ready to keep the City of Atlanta in control of the airport.  So, where was she when the Braves left to add more gridlock to Cobb.

I would rather see cities, counties and states stick to their own knitting, but we already have committees for everything at the Gold Dome and they really need to send things back to the private sector and abolish their committees.

I don’t know why the airlines are not responsible for providing their own airports. That would take the problem away from the city and the state. Why are private sector bus services responsible for their own Bus terminals? Aren’t freight train companies responsible for their own tracks and stations?

I understand that indicted airport officials are clogging up the courts and I realize that the power crash crippled the airport for a while. I also know that all state officials are continually trying to get companies to move to Georgia, although I am suspicious as to why they do this.
